An Alabama woman was arrest Tuesday after police were called to a residence and found dead man lying in the yard.

Dora police said officers arriving at the residence on Austin Circle found the man who appeared to have been stabbed to death.

Police said the suspect remained on the scene.

Police arrested Pathenia Washington, 49, of Dora, and charged her with murder. She was being held at the Walker County Jail.
