An Alabama woman was killed Saturday when the SUV in which she was a passenger was struck by a pick-up truck, Alabama state troopers reported.

Amber N. Marizette, 33, of Talladega, was injured Saturday afternoon when the 2004 GMC Envoy in which she was riding was hit by a 2014 Chevy pickup driven by Michael S. Denton, 44, also of Talladega, state troopers said.

Marizette was taken to a hospital in Talladega where she later died from her injuries.

The accident happened at approximately 2:27 p.m. on Jackson Trace Road approximately 5 miles north of Talladega.

The driver of the GMC Envoy, Brentavies L. Marizette, 40, of Talladega and another passenger, Travoris K. Wallace, of Lincoln, were taken to hospitals for treatment.
