An Alabama man was killed Saturday afternoon when he was thrown from his motorcycle and struck a tree, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m. Saturday, and claimed the life of a Moulton man.

Chris M. Reese Jr., 20, was fatally injured when the 2020 Kawasaki KX450 motorcycle that he was operating left the roadway and struck an embankment.

After the initial impact, Reese was ejected from the Kawasaki and struck a tree. Reese was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Leola Road near Hickory Grove Road, approximately 7 miles south of Moulton.
