Two teens killed, two teens injured after car collides with 18-wheeler truck

Two Alabama teenagers were killed and two others injured Saturday morning after their car collided with an 18-wheeler and was pinned beneath the truck.

Tuscaloosa police said they were called to the wreck just before 2 a.m. Saturday. The collision happened at the intersection of Skyland Boulevard and Interstate 20-59.

The 2022 Tesla was found underneath the truck’s trailer, police said. All four occupants were trapped.

The driver and the front seat passenger, a 17-year-old female Tuscaloosa native and an 18-year-old male Uniontown native, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The two rear passengers, an 18-year-old female from Montgomery and a 17-year-old female from Marion, were transported to hospitals for their injuries.
