Alabama police search river looking for missing man

Alabama police were searching a river Sunday trying to locate the driver of a care found running on a bridge last week.

Gadsden police said they are searching for Bryan Jeremiah Stamps, 20, who was identified as the driver of a 2002 Honda Accord that was found running and unoccupied on the Meighan Boulevard bridge on April 4, just before midnight.

Officers attempted to locate the driver/owner of the Accord in several locations to include local hospitals. A family member filed a missing person’s report on Friday evening, police said.

Police said they are working to locate Stamps to include requesting assistance from the Gadsden Fire Department to assist in searching the Coosa river.
