An Alabama motorcyclist was killed early Thursday morning after police say he tried to pass two semi-trucks by driving between them and crashed at high speed.

The man’s identified was not immediately released, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office reported Thursday morning.

The accident happened just after midnight on Interstate 20-59 northbound in Birmingham.

According to the Birmingham Police the man attempted to pass two semi-tractor trailer trucks by driving between the two trucks.

Police said the man struck one of the semi tractor trailers and lost control of his motorcycle.
