Alabama state troopers said a suspect was injured Tuesday morning after crashing their car at the end of a more than 30-mile police chase.
The vehicle-pursuit occurred at approximately 11 a.m. Tuesday, and resulted in a traffic crash and an arrest.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division attempted to stop a Kia Sorento for a traffic violation on Interstate 65 near the 208 mile marker in Chilton County.
The driver eluded Troopers and a pursuit ensued until the 173 mile marker, where the Sorento crashed and the pursuit ended.
The driver has been transported to a local hospital for medical treatment but is facing multiple criminal charges.
Deputies with the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the pursuit and arrest.
