An Alabama man was stabbed to death Wednesday during a domestic assault, police say.

Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said the victim was identified as Jeremy Marcel Marbury, 35, of Leeds.

The coroner’s office said Leeds police are leading the investigation and treating the death as a homicide.

The death occurred at approximately 5 p.m. on Wednesday on Charles Barkley Avenue in Leeds.
