An Alabama man has been arrested and charged after police say he sent multiple obscene images to a juvenile.

Thomas Eugene Armstead, 35, of Florence, Alabama, was arrested this week and was being held on a $750,000 bond, Florence police said.

Investigators said between July 2022 and February 2023, Armstead allegedly send images using the Snapchot app to a person he knew was a minor. They further allege he asked the juvenile to send a nude image of themselves as well.

Armstead was charged with 14 counts of transmitting obscene material to a child and solicitation of pornography from a minor.
