An Alabama woman has been indicted for the death of her baby during 2021, police said.

Chaunquonecia Vashjhaud, 23, of Florence, Alabama, was arrested Sunday after a Lauderdale County grand jury indicted for chemical endangerment of a child.

Her baby was stillborn in January 2021 at North Alabama Medical Center and the deceased baby tested positive for drugs – both methamphetamine and amphetamine.
