An Alabama woman has been charged with helping a county inmate escape, a sheriff’s office announced on Tuesday.
Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputies said Jodie Ann Kilpatric, 51, of Hartselle, Alabama, has been charged with permitting or facilitating escape in the first degree.
Investigators believe she helped Jeremy Taylor after he escaped the Morgan County Jail on Sunday.
It wasn’t clear exactly what Kilpatric is accused of doing to help Taylor.
Taylor was discovered missing early Sunday morning from the Morgan County Jail. He was found later that night in Tennessee.
Kilpartric was arrested and held on $2,500 bond.
