Alabama Skies: More storms on the way with some severe weather possible

Last night was a bumpy night for some of us as the first round of severe weather made it through the northern part of the state, but we’re not quite finished yet. A strong cold front is still unleashing its power over the entire southeastern part of the country. Although the worst of the weather is west of us, we can still see some storms with a bite.

The storm system has also been a little slower than expected. We’re now expecting the possibility of some strong storms until lunchtime on Friday.

North Alabama

Showers and storms with some thunderstorms severe with heavy rain. High near 70. Tonight, more showers and thunderstorms, some possibly severe. Low of 62.

Central Alabama

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm with a high of 76. Showers likely tonight with a few storms possible. Low of 64.

South Alabama

Some showers around with a few thunderstorms possible. High of 81. More rain and storms tonight with a low of 66.

Gulf Coast

Fog early, then mostly cloudy with a high of 80. Showers and storms possible tonight with a low near 70.
