A Tennessee fugitive wanted for three rape charges was nabbed in Alabama Thursday, law enforcement officials said.
Madison County Sheriff’s Office deputies said they were contacted by Nashville police in reference to their search for a rape suspect Carlos Ruben Rodriguez.
Rodriguez is charged with rape without consent, statutory rape by an authority figure and aggravated statutory rape.
When deputies arrived at the address in New Market, they found the suspect’s wife, who said he was at work. After a short time, the wife left the residence and deputies followed here and eventually found the suspect in Huntsville.
He was arrested and charged as being a fugitive from justice and is awaiting extradition back to Tennessee.
