An Alabama police officer was indicted by a Grand Jury on charges of sexual misconduct while he was off-duty.

Madison County Sheriff’s Office investigators said Kevin O. Walter, 35, was arrested and charged after an alleged incident involving an acquaintance.

Madison County Sheriff’s Office investigators were called in by Madison Police in November 2022 after an alleged incident. Since Walter worked for the Madison County Police they turned to another department to handle the investigation.

The case was presented to a Madison County Grand Jury for consideration and that jury returned the indictment.
