Alabama Skies: Strong winds could cause problems today

Although rain returns to parts of our state today, it’s going to be significant winds that are the real story. Some folks across Alabama could experience winds of more than 30 miles per hour.
We’re still expecting severe weather Wednesday and Thursday in Alabama. Right now, the Storm President Center is expecting everything from flooding to tornadoes to be on the table. We’ll have a better idea for timing and exact threats soon, but right now, we’re expecting a couple rounds of storms over the next couple of days.
North Alabama
Becoming cloudy with a high near 68 and wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour. Rain tonight with a low near 57.
Central Alabama
Mostly sunny with a high near 70. Showers tonight with a low near 58.
South Alabama
Mostly sunny and warm with a high near 74. Isolated to scattered showers tonight with a low around 59.
Gulf Coast
Sunny with a high near 71. Windy. Cloudy tonight with a low around 62.
