A shooting broke out Sunday afternoon at an Alabama Chuck E. Cheese location, deputies said.

Shelby County Sheriff’s Office deputies said they were called to the Chuck E. Cheese location at 4647 U.S. 280 in North Shelby County.

Investigators said one man was shot and taken to a local hospital for treatment and another person was detained as a suspect.

By early evening, deputies said they were still on scene investigating the case and searching for the weapon used in the shooting.

Deputies said they believe the victim and suspected shooter were related to one another and they do not believe additional suspects are at large.
