Three Alabama teens have been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting that left two people dead and nine others injured a week ago after a birthday celebration turned deadly.
Madison County Sheriff’s Office investigators said three juveniles were arrested in connection with the shooting. The new arrests come after the arrest of Ashton Elliot, 20, and DeMarcus Thompson, 19, earlier this week.
The three juveniles are all 16 years old. One is charged with murder and the other with gun related crimes, investigators said.
The shooting occurred Jan. 7 at an events center in Madison County. Deputies said they recovered more than 200 shell casings from the scene.
Killed in the shooting were two young women, Kaitlyn Jenkins, 20, and Quantasia Grant, 20.
Deputies said they expect more arrests in the case.
