Alabama man killed when his car strikes tree, overturns

An Alabama man was killed Wednesday when his car left the road and struck a tree, state troopers said.

Alabama state troopers said Robert F. Wray, 30, of Blountsville, Alabama, was killed Wednesday afternoon on Joy Road, approximately 2 miles south of Blountsville.

Troopers said Wray’s Oldsmobile Cutlass left the road, struck a tree and overturned.

He was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said, leading to him being partially ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead on the scene, troopers said.
