An Alabama man was killed this week after his car struck a tree and burst into flames, state troopers said.

Logan K. Lewis, 20, of Double Springs, Alabama, died at the scene on Monday, Alabama state troopers said.

Lewis was driving a 2009 Ford Mustang at approximately 6:18 p.m. Monday on Alabama 195, approximately 4 miles south of Double Springs, when his car left the road and struck a tree, state police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, but was not positively identified until Thursday due to the fire.
