A road rage incident has left one person hospitalized after being shot on Interstate 65 in Alabama.

Vestavia Hills Police said the incident happened at approximately 7 a.m. Thursday morning.

Police said the incident was an isolated shooting stemming from road rage.

The identity of the victim was not released and their condition was not known.

Police said they continue to investigate the shooting.
