An Alabama man was apparently struck by lightning Wednesday as a severe weather system moved across the state, a local TV station reported.

WTVY-TV reported a 23-year-old Dothan man was apparently knocked unconscious by the apparent strike.

He was reportedly taken to a hospital with what was believed to be non-lift-threatening injuries, the station reports.
