An Alabama man has been charged after police say he bit a police officer on the arm and scratched another officer, a TV station reported.

WHNT-TV reported that Huntsville police arrested Montiose Megauil Birdsong, 35, after officers were called to check on Birdsong by a concerned resident.

The injuries to both officers were minor, police said.

Birdsong faces charges of second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and obstructing government operations.
