Do you recognize this man? Police believe he gunned down two people on Alabama riverwalk

A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the man police believe is responsible for gunning down two people on an Alabama riverwalk in the middle of the day on Saturday.

At approximately 2 p.m., Saturday, Phenix City Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the area of the Riverwalk, located in the 200 block of 14th Street, Phenix City, Alabama.

Upon arrival, officers located two adult victims whom both sustained life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victims succumbed to their injuries and were later pronounced deceased. The victims were identified as, Darrelyn Harris, 40, and John Burkus, 31.

Central Alabama CrimeStoppers is currently offering a $2,000.00 cash reward being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect involved in this double homicide.

Investigators released a photo of a person of interest and are requesting the public’s assistance in his identification and whereabouts. Anyone with additional information regarding this violent crime is asked to come forward.
