An Alabama prison inmate was found dead Wednesday in his dormitory.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said the inmate was Tycia Leon Marshall, 41, who was serving a prison sentence for breaking and entering a vehicle.

Marshall was reportedly found unresponsive at approximately 9 a.m. Wednesday in what was described as an open-style dormitory at the William Donaldson Correctional Facility in Jefferson County.

He was pronounced dead at 9:19 a.m.

Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said an autopsy would be performed to determine the cause of death.
