Four Alabama minors were arrested this week for setting a fire at an Alabama Walmart in September.

Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson said that the suspects are charged with criminal mischief in the September 30 fire and that charges of first-degree arson could take place in the future.

State law prohibits the names of the suspects from being revealed because they are minors.

Selma Fire Department Interim Chief Franklin Edwards said that SFD Captain Donnell Ross quickly put out the small fire in the paper goods aisle on September 30.

Edwards, the second fire started around 5:45 p.m. Sunday evening and went over two aisles.

The fire apparently started in the craft section of the store, near the paper goods aisle. The store’s fire sprinklers put out the fire. No one was injured.

The Selma Walmart was temporarily closed, except for the Pharmacy, operating by Curbside pickup only earlier this week.

The store reopened fully Thursday morning.
