An Alabama was killed Sunday afternoon when her truck struck a tree and overturned, state troopers reported.

The single-vehicle crash happened at approximately 1:40 p.m. Sunday on U.S. 82, approximately 20 miles west of Prattville in Autauga County.

Troopers said Lakesha N. Tellis, 42, of Montgomery, was fatally injured when the 2004 Toyota Tacoma she was driving left the road, struck a tree and overturned.

Tellis was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from her truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.
