An Alabama man who appeared on a moonshine-making TV show was arrested on charges of possessing a still and moonshine, a local newspaper reported.

Johnny Wayne Griffis, 48, of Flomaton, Alabama, was arrested Monday, charged with possession of a still and illegal alcoholic beverages, the Tri-City Ledger reported.

Griffis has appeared on ‘Moonshiners Master Distiller’ on the Discovery Channel and ‘Alabama Shine’ on The Country Network.

He was released on bond, the newspaper reported. Alabama Law Enforcement Agency agents said they found Griffis in the middle of cooking a batch of moonshine when agents executed a search warrant.
