Police are investigating the death of an Alabama man found dead inside the closet of a vacant apartment.

The body of Eric Henderson was found inside an east Birmingham apartment Monday afternoon, according to Birmingham news reports.

Authorities report that an off-duty officer investigated the report of a dead body which led to the discovery of Henderson’s body.

Obvious signs of trauma were reported when investigators found the body, but no details have been released concerning how Henderson was killed.

Three suspects were then detained and questioned by authorities.

One person has been arrested but the suspect’s identity is being withheld until formal charges are made.
