The body of a missing University of Alabama student was found by search divers Tuesday afternoon, officials reported.
University of Alabama student Garrett Walker, 20, from Maryland, was reported missing by his family on Sunday.
He was last seen at a bar early Sunday morning. His clothes and cell phone were found later along the river’s edge, police said during the search.
Rescuers searched for two days for Walker.
University of Alabama President Stuart R. Bell said the school’s staff and students were heartbroken over Walker’s death.
