Rescuers find body of Alabama man swept away in floodwaters

The body of an Alabama man who was swept away in floodwaters in Birmingham Saturday night was found Monday morning.

Rescue crews found the body of Timothy Lewis Bragg, 31, in a creek near Dugan Avenue.

Bragg was reportedly helping move a road hazard on Pebble Creek Parkway near Highway 78 when he lost his balance ad disappeared in the water. The incident happened at approximately 10 p.m. Saturday night.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service Battalion Chief Sebastian Carrillo told Al.com that a large group of people came out to help in the rescue effort.
