One man is dead and another in custody following a shooting in an Alabama subdivision.

Officials with the Calera Police Department report that the shooting occurred Saturday afternoon at a residence on Creek Run Circle in the Shiloh Subdivision. The shooting happened shortly before 2 p.m.

After investigating, CPD said that there was one male victim and the suspected shooter was in custody.

CPD have notified the family members of the victim and are conducting an ongoing investigation into the matter.
