An Alabama man who died in an RV fire last week has been identified.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Michael Earnest Seals, 62, of Bessemer.

Firefighters responded on the morning of Thursday, May 6, to a fire in the 600 block of Willow Bend Lane. When they arrived, they found Seals in the RV near a home in the Rock Creek community. Seals was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is also investigating.
