Alabama police looking for suspect who jumped out of car with ax and attacked man

Alabama police are looking for a man who reportedly jumped from a car wielding an ax to attack another man in a nearby vehicle.

Tuscaloosa police responded to the attack on McFarland Boulevard at approximately 5 p.m. Friday night.

WBRC News in Tuscaloosa reports that a witness told police that she and the victim were traveling on McFarland when the suspect — who was an acquaintance — jumped out of a nearby car and began to assault the victim with the ax.

The suspect and victim reportedly have been involved in an ongoing dispute.

As of Friday night, Tuscaloosa police were still looking for the suspect.

The victim transported to the hospital with serious injuries that did not appear to be life threatening.
