Alabama police chief’s car one of several vehicles torched in arson spree

An Alabama man is behind bars after he went on an arson spree, included setting fire to a police chief’s vehicle.
Phillip Mack, 33, faces multiple arson charges in Baldwin County after authorities say he set a string of fires.
Investigators say Mack purposely set fire to a house and vehicle in Malbis and three vehicles in Fairhope, according to Fox10 News in Mobile.
A news release from Fairhope Police, Department said that one of the vehicles burned was assigned to Fairhope Police Chief Stephanie Hollinghead.
Mack is being held in the Baldwin County Jail on $1.5 million bond, according to jail records.
The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office says Mack’s motive for setting the fires is unclear.
