Authorities are searching for a man after a woman was found dead in an apartment at a West Alabama apartment complex Sunday afternoon.

Officials with the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit told new sources Monday that they found 21-year-old Leonna Tucker dead at the Grand at Rum Creek complex in Tuscaloosa Sunday afternoon. Police were called to the apartment complex off Alabama Highway 69 South about 3:45 p.m. Sunday.

After an initial investigation, a warrant was issued for Eric Markett Hayward, 23, of Tuscaloosa on a charge of murder in connection with Tucker’s death.
