The Alabama sex offender who police say kidnapped a 73-year-old woman and eluding authorities for days was finally captured Thursday in New Orleans.

Aaron Dun, 33, was arrested and charged with multiple criminal counts, NOLA.com reported.

Law enforcement officers had received a tip that he was in New Orleans and spotted him at a New Orleans Walgreens, NOLA.com reported.

Dun ran from police, but they tracked him with dogs.

He’s accused of using a knife to kidnap a LaPlace, Louisiana, woman on May 5, from her home. The kidnapping occurred while the woman’s 93-year-old mother and a 7-year-old child were in the home.

Dun is accused of dropping the woman off, but stealing her car.

Dun reportedly drove the stolen car in two police chases before ultimately crashing it and escaping on foot.
