An Alabama homeowner told police that multiple men broke into his house, tied up everyone inside and then made off with about $20,000 worth of jewelry and three guns.
Trussville police shared surveillance video Monday of the masked suspects kicking in a door at the home on Sunday night.
The homeowner said once the suspects were inside, they tied up everyone in the house with zip ties, according to Detective Ben Short. The homeowner, who wasn’t identified, was later able to free himself from the zip ties and fire about 14 gunshots at a silver SUV that the suspects escaped in, police said.
A search of the home turned up narcotics and other physical evidence, police stated.
No arrests have been announced. Police said it appears the homeowner was targeted.
