Law enforcement investigators sought the public’s help Friday as they searched for signs of a 4-year-old east Alabama girl who has been missing since Wednesday afternoon.

Volunteers were sought in Lee County to search for young Evelyn Vadie Sides who went missing at approximately 2:45 p.m. Wednesday as she was walking her dog with a longtime family friend in the Loachapoka community.

Sheriff’s deputies have said foul play is not suspected in the disappearance.

Deputies said the little girl was last seen one of her family’s dogs, a reddish-brown hound dog. The dog hasn’t been found either.

Sides has red hair, is approximately 3-feet tall and was last seen wearing a blue dress with green flowers.
