Three Alabama high school students were hospitalized after eating brownies laced with a narcotic, authorities said.
Dothan police said several Dothan High School students distributed a batch of narcotic-laced brownies to their classmates Wednesday, news outlets reported.
Dothan police juvenile officer Sgt. Clark Allums said three students ate the brownies and began suffering from nausea and chest tightening symptoms.
They were taken to the hospital and later cleared.
Allums said the brownies were sent to a lab for testing.
He said once the testing is complete, the students who brought the brownies to school could face criminal charges.
Dothan City Schools said they were working with authorities to investigate the incident.
